The Lady Pirate volleyball program remain undefeated in district play after they swept the Burkeville Lady Mustangs.  The night started off with the JV team winning in straight sets (25-13)(25-10).  After taking the lead early, the Lady Pirates never let up as they cruised to victory.  Soon after their victory, the Varsity Lady Pirate squad took the court.  Once they got their footing under them, the Lady Pirates took down the Lady Mustangs by sweeping them in straight sets (25-15)(25-9)(25-19).  

Stats for the Lady Pirates include: Kayla McNeil – 8 Kills, 4 Aces, 3 Digs; Malaysia Jones – 5 Kills, 2 Blocks, 4 Digs; Raegan Chance – 9 Kills, 2 Aces, 3 Digs, 3 Assists; Aleigha Raymer – 29 Assist, 3 Kills, 5 Aces, 5 Digs; Allie Bean – 10 Assists; Maddie Bean – 7 Digs, 2 Aces, 2 Assists; Jaycee Summers – 9 Digs; Chesliegh Hamilton – 2 Digs, 2 Aces; Kaylee Ash – 2 Kills, 5 Aces, 1 Dig, 1 Assist; Bree’Anne Clark – 1 Dig; K’Leah Simmons – 1 Dig; Savannah Linscomb – 6 Digs.

With the win, the Lady Pirates are 6-0 in district and 18-12 for the year.  Deweyville hosts Evadale on Friday night to conclude the first round of district play.
